Identifying CNV with OCT Angiography Imaging

Wednesday 19th May 2021 | 7:30pm – 8:30pm (CEST)

Speaker: Professor Faruque Ghanchi, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

OCT angiography (OCTA) has emerged as an alternative to fluorescein angiography imaging for the identification of abnormal blood vessels in patients with the neovascular form of age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). A recent study by Professor Faruque Ghanchi, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, et al. reported the high sensitivity and specificity of SPECTRALIS OCTA imaging for detecting choroidal neovascularization (CNV) at baseline in treatment naïve nAMD patients. In this webinar, Professor Ghanchi will discuss best practice for systematically analysing OCTA and conventional SD-OCT images for CNV and surrogate bio-markers of nAMD.
