  In this online course room you can find Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through recorded webinars designed specifically for UK optometrists and dispensing opticians.
  

  
  

  You can collect 1 CPD point for each recorded lecture. You must watch a minimum of 75% of the recorded lecture and complete at least 7 out of 10 multiple choice questions correctly to claim the CPD point. The time limit for the quiz is 30 minutes.   1. An understanding of how to use OCT to assess a patient for signs of eye disease.
  2. An understanding of how OCT can be used to identify common causes of vision loss seen in practice, use this to aid in deciding on a management plan for the patient, and know how to communicate the changes observed to the hospital eye service.
  3. An understanding of how common eye diseases seen in practice appear on OCT, and the implications for a patient’s vision.

  Learning the “Eyeway Code”

  Build and enhance your relationship with ophthalmologists and improve patient care in your practice by learning how to use the "Eyeway Code" to confidently identify and describe pathology in OCT scans. This recorded webinar teaches a systematic methodology for evaluating OCT scans for signs of disease and equips you with the language to credibly discuss the images with other eye care professionals and make referrals.

  Speakers: Mark Holloway (Independent Optometrist, Thomas & Holloway Opticians) and Tim Cole (Clinical Affairs Manager, Heidelberg Engineering).
